In 2009, my husband and I went to this shelter and a dog I wanted had just been adopted to someone else. An employee brought us a very big, very scary-looking Siberian Husky mix with blue eyes. It just sat there for a moment and then without any notice, jumped on my husband's lap and started licking his face. This dog was so happy and my husband fell in love. Her 'scary' appearance immediately faded away and she came up to all of us begging for attention. It was obvious that Eva chose us to be her family. The woman gave us a few minutes to discuss if this is what we really wanted and we didn't have to think twice. She was ours.
Eva would probably say she is happy she chose us because now she has a home full of people that love her and love to play with her.
